The Girl Scouts of Birch Trails Council was incorporated on
January 10, 1961. The Council currently serves a 10,000 square mile area in North central Wisconsin, including Forest, Lincoln, Langlade, Marathon, Oneida, Vilas, Eastern Clark, Eastern Iron, Eastern Taylor, Northwest Shawano and Southeastern Price.
Our troop leaders, volunteers, mentors and alumni work in
conjunction with a volunteer Board of Directors and council staff to operate an efficient and effective girl focused organization.
If you need to contact council staff, view our service area or need to visit the Scout Shop you can find information on this website.

Ranked #30 in the Nation
The Birch Trails Council is nationally recognized as a high performing council. Out of 312 Girl Scout councils in the country, Birch Trails ranked #30, serving 16.9% of the available girls in our jurisdiction.

Focus on Outcomes
In 2005, the council developed consistent, age appropriate outcome measurements to be used with all programs and events. This development began with the Junior Girl Scout Group Experience: Outcomes Measurement Guide, a collaborative effort of Girl Scouts of the USA, SPEC Associates, Inc. and participating Girl Scout councils nationwide.

We expect that each girl will:

  • Feel good about herself
  • Improve self-esteem
  • Feel welcome
  • Make friends
  • Be respectful
  • Make decisions
  • Work with other girls
  • Volunteer to help or lead
